LAZAR provides the infrastructure to make document based information available anywhere and at the right time.
The correct processing and valuation of enterprise-relevant business transactions depends on up-to-date knowledge of the content of business documents, and how this content is to be further processed. Whether it is approval and release procedures, purchasing, sales, or application procedures, or the decision process, all require business information to be available, transparent, and legally secure, and therefore also require the integration of original documents. Documents are exchanged between enterprises and automatically controlled transactions are initiated, therefore creating transaction content and values.
Immediately after arrival in the enterprise faxes, emails or post items can be stored and then distributed and assigned to an existing business object, or to a business object that is to be created - as a part of the processing. Using this procedure, time-consuming work processes such as photocopying and distribution of originals, searching of information and core activities within paper based archives can be avoided. Documents are available and can be displayed and executed at anytime and anywhere. Integrated documents provide the necessary business information for a process from an early stage. LAZAR provides the technology for integrating business documents into business processes and search procedures in digital and unchangeable formats.
LAZAR standard scenarios are fundamental to the easy implementation of document integration.
Storage of outgoing documents: If SmartForms based documents are printed, faxed, or e-mailed, these can be automatically stored and assigned to a business object.
Print lists (reports) can contain, for example, data selected from a database for later revision, and can stored either alongside the printed versions or instead of them. Examples of print lists are account update logs in finance, warehouse stock, and logs.
LAZAR Archiving Example
With only a few Customizing settings, for example in SAP Customer Relationship Management, the standard scenarios can enable an incoming scanned request for a product to automatically initiate a sales transaction. In further transaction processing of the transaction, the responses or further incoming memos are stored along with the request.
SAP Document & Records Management is the SAP Solution that enables quick access to the information required for successful transaction processing. The content managed with records management technology includes both transactional or application data (structured data) and the unstructured content in related documents. Managed documents can include scanned documents, document information records, faxes, e-mails, or Microsoft Office documents. Records management technology is the foundation for various solutions like e.g. public sector records management, case management in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM), and SAP Dispute Management.
LAZAR understands that customer sees data conversion as one of the most pertinent and difficult task in during the project. LAZAR can provide references and assurances where every SAP implementation goes through a data conversion phase before loading records into SAP. Data conversion is a very common process for any SAP Implementation and SAP has numerous tools such as its own LSMW (Legacy System Management Workbench) that converts legacy data according to technical specification into accepted format. The same can be done by using formulas in MS Excel by utilizing VB code. Typical SAP implementation has to convert hundreds of billions of records for each data set before it can be loaded into SAP. LAZAR has many years implementing SAP products where data conversion is one of the activities. LAZAR has structured special data-conversion team in order to support such a projects.
If at any stage of the SAP software life cycle you should need to change your operating system and/or database, the LAZAR OS/DB Migration service optimally prepares you for a successful migration and supports smooth continued operations on the new platform.
LAZAR OS/DB Migration service delivery includes all the systems in that system landscape. If you want full support for the migration (be it a production system or not) then you must secure the services of a technical consultant with special certification for OS/DB migration.
By utilizing LAZAR OS/DB Migration service minimizes technical risk involved in an operating system and/or database migration and avoids unforeseen costs that can occur during the migration.
The benefits of this service are as follows:
The SAP OS/DB Migration Check consists of three service sessions – OS/DB Migration Analysis, OS/DB Migration Verification, and OS/DB Actual Migration sessions – that are delivered by certified consultants through a remote connection. The delivery of the individual sessions takes place at key phases in the migration project. The Analysis session takes place after the project start, followed by Actual Migration session which performs the necessary migration steps. The Verification session takes place after the final migration is over. The Analysis and Verification sessions both have a normal duration of one day, where the actual migration takes on average of 80-120 hours to complete.
